New Delhi: Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has filed a lawsuit against Microsoft for the illegal usage of Twitter data. He even revealed his plans to remove Microsoft from its advertising campaigns. Microsoft also said that they wouldn’t be supporting Twitter from 25 April. Microsoft did this after Twitter announced the fees of its API, which will be 42K dollars a month.

Microsoft said, “Starting from 25 April, 2023, Smart Campaigns with multi-platform will not support Twitter.” Elon Musk has lost some of the big Twitter advertisers since he took over the company. Microsoft made 12 billion US dollars with the help of advertisements.

Meanwhile, Twitter will remove the legacy Blue Tick of those accounts that have not paid the Blue Tick subscription to the platform. If any individual has not paid for the subscription, their Blue Tick will be removed. Twitter delayed the removal of the Old Blue Tick, i.e., the Legacy Blue Tick, as they decided to remove it from April 1.

Earlier, celebrities, politicians, and influencers got free Blue Tick, but that changed when Elon Musk took ownership of Twitter. If the users want to have Blue Tick, they must purchase the Blue Tick subscription.
