New Delhi: The Indian Government is now coordinating with all the Quartet countries to secure Indian people living in Sudan. The Ministry of External Affairs took this action after examining the clashes between Sudan’s paramilitary forces and army. According to the reports, the Quartet countries have an essential role, so the MEA coordinated with them closely.

S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, spoke about this matter to the counterparts located in UAE and Saudi Arabia. Arindam Bagchi, an official spokesperson from Ministry of External Affairs tweeted about the situation. “In view of the current situation in Sudan, a Control Room has been set up at MEAIndia to provide information and assistance”, read his tweet.

On 17 April, a Control Room was also established to help the Indians who were currently in Sudan. The Indian Embassy located in Khartoum is constantly informing about the status of Indians over there. The sources even said that every stage is risky at this moment, due to which the Government took such actions.

The Ministry of External Affairs is performing its best to ensure that Indians are safe wherever they are located. The Indian Embassy and Ministry of External Affairs are constantly working on and monitoring the situation. Still, some specific details have yet to be put out by these authorities, according to the reports.
