CG Police is yet to arrest the murder accused of the father-duo identified as Rahim Mohammad (55) and his son Idul Mohammad (35), residents of Biranpur, who were allegedly hacked to death following the communal clash in Bemetara’s Biranpur village in which one Bhuneshwar Sahu (22) was killed, officials said Thursday.

Days after one died in communal violence that erupted in Biranpur village, two bodies with injuries on the head and stabbing marks were found in the vicinity. A case has been filed against unknown persons following leads.

Meanwhile, the police have received several complaints regarding the pledge to boycott minority religions. It is yet to file a case

Earlier on April 10th members of the Right-wing and BJP pledged the economic boycott of Muslims and Christians in Chhattisgarh’s Jagdalpur in view of the communal violence.

A video from the event showed BJP leaders including ex-BJP MP from Bastar Dinesh Kashyap, royal scion Kamal Chandra Bhanjdeo, and district president Roop Singh Mandavi along with activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad taking a pledge of the economic boycott of Muslims and Christians in Jagdalpur near Aamaguda Chowk. The leaders have also asked the shopkeepers to put up signboards outside their shops indicating that the shop belongs to Hindu owners.

So far 11 have been arrested in connection with the violence in the central Bematra district on April 8th.
