RAIPUR: Palash Chandel son of Chhattisgarh LoP Narayan Chandel accused of impregnating a tribal woman was released on bail said police on Friday.
Held on Thursday night, Palash was relieved after he was granted anticipatory bail by the CG High Court. He furnished a bail bond of Rs 25,000 said an official.
Palash has been on the run since the victim filed a complaint against him in Raipur. After absconding for nearly two months, he was detained in Janjgir-Champa district said the district’s Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Soni.
The victim a tribal teacher in her complaint stated that Palash exploited her for years and promised to marry her.
