RAIPUR: In view of the increasing stone pelting on Vande Bharat trains running between Nagpur and Bilaspur, the RPF teams are undertaking preventive measures, like awareness campaigns to prevent such incidents. Under the initiative, teams of RPF officials, are reaching urban areas and interacting with the common people. The special campaign is being run under the leadership of Raipur Security Force post-Incharge Manoranjan Mukherjee. The RPF team includes MRO and a CRO.
A dialogue is being conducted to explain the risks posed to the passengers traveling in the special trains and the punishment attracted under the Railway Act for damaging property belonging to the Railway authorities.
The last time Vande Bharat was attacked in CG was in Dadhapara on Feb 6th.
Vande Bharat Express trains, like the Rajdhanis and Shatabdis before it, have also been the target of stone pelters.
