Mumbai: Ayan Mukherji is all set to direct Hritik Roshan’s War 2 as the sequels of Brahmastra have been delayed. The director took to his social media handle to announce that the script of sequels need more time. He also talked about helming a special movie but did not name the film.
Ayan will be at the helm of War 2 and will direct the next iteration of Yash Raj spy universe starring Hritik Roshan. “I also have another piece of news to share… the universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently a very special movie-to step into and direct!”, wrote the director on his social media handle.
The Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor film was released in September last year and went on to become one of biggest hits of the year. Ayan Mukherjee had earlier shared that the sequels of the movie are planned to release in 2026 and 2027.
Brahamstra Part 2: Dev will release in December 2026 and Brahmastra Part 3 will hit cinema halls in December 27.
He ended the note by saying how he is opening himself to all positive energies in the universe. “Continue to that one thing that matters most to me Indian Cinema!”, wrote the Brahmastra director.
