NEW DELHI: India in a single day added 3,823 fresh COVID-19 cases as per the data shared by the health ministry on Sunday registering the biggest jump in six months. The active cases that comprise 0.04 percent of total infections accounted for 18,389 taking the cumulative tally to 4.47 crore (4,47,22,605).
The daily positivity rate stood at 2.87 percent while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 2.24 percent.
The death toll climbed to 5,30,881 with five deaths. One death each was reported from Delhi, Haryana, Kerala, and Rajasthan, and was additional death was reconciled by Kerala. The national recovery rate stood at 98.77 percent while the fatality rate stood at 1.19 percent.
Recoveries in the last 24 hours increase total recoveries to 4,41,73,335. According to the ministry, 220.66 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered.
