RAIPUR: CM Bhupesh Baghel, on Saturday launched the much anticipated unemployment allowance scheme for youth at his office residence in Raipur.
Baghel at an event in the presence of Agricultural Minister, ACS Subrata Sahu, Director of employment department handed over the allowance approval orders under the scheme to 4 youths.
Deepak Nishad,a resident of Boriya road an aspiring Civil Servant was handed over the cheque. Deepak who is preparing for his civil says that the scheme would help him in paying his coaching fees.
Kunal Sahu a resident of Vikas Nagar student of BCA says the funds from the scheme would help him study further. Mukeshwari Pal resident of Mova pursuing BBD determines to make a career in the field of physical education Pooja Chandravanshi the last candidate is pursuing B.Ed.
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries will get a monthly allowance of Rs 2,500 credited to their bank accounts. Unemployment allowance was a promise made by Congress in its 2018 poll manifesto.
Speaking on the occasion, Baghel said that the registration process for unemployment allowance has started and the eligible persons, who register online on any day in the month of April, will start getting the allowance with effect from April 1.
Employment-oriented training will be provided to the youth so that they do not remain unemployed forever.At a separate event,
Baghel also launched the Chhattisgarh Socio-Economic Survey-2023′. He flagged off teams who will visit various districts for the survey and extended best wishes for the success of the campaign. The survey would be conducted across the state from April 1 to April 30 and in rural areas, the teams will go door-to-door and conduct the survey using a mobile application
