NEW DELHI: In view of the drastic surge in the coronavirus cases, the Delhi govt has issued a mask advisory to symptomatic people.

“We have issued an advisory that those who have symptoms of influenza, or flu must wear masks, said Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj in an emergency meeting held today. Emphasizing on the rising COVID Positivity rate he said that there is no need to panic.

Few others discussions that were taken included:

A mock drill for Covid-19 preparedness- The results of the mock drill will be given to the CM.

Genome testing has been intensified.

Ample amount of oxygen stocked.

Tomorrow at 12 pm, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will chair another meeting with officials from the Health Department.

COVID-19 cases in the national capital climbed to 300 on Wednesday for the first time since August 31 last year, the positivity rate climbed to 13.89 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.

As per MoHFW, over 3000 fresh COVID-19 cases were added in the last 24 hours.
