RAIPUR: A fierce encounter took place between the security forces and the Naxals in a jungle near the village Orchapara. Security forces of Sonpur, Kurusnar, and Basingh Police station of Narayanpur district launched a combing operation on Friday, an official said.
The anti-maoists operation as per the sources began on the intervening nights of Thursday and Friday after Naxals set solar panels on fire at an under-construction mobile tower near Murhadpur village.
No casualities are reported and the Naxals reportedly fled. A search operation was launched in nearby areas shortly, the official added.
