New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav today in connection with land-for-job case. This is the second summon issued to him, the first being issued on 4th February.
Yadav, the younger son of the former Minister of Railways Lalu Prasad Yadav, was earlier summoned by CBI on March 4 but he did not appear before the probe agency. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 10 conducted searches at 24 locations in multiple states in connection with the alleged land-for-job scam case involving former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and others.
The searches were carried out in and around cities of Delhi, Ranchi, Mumbai, and Patna. This move by ED comes days after the CBI questioned the former Railway Minister and his wife Rabri Devi in its own case.
Issuing a statement, the RJD said that in addition to that of Mr. Prasad’s younger son and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav’s house in South Delhi, the properties linked to Mr. Prasad’s three daughters, Ragini Yadav, Chanda Yadav, and Hema Yadav were also searched. The premises of RJD MLA from Sitamarhi’s Sursand, Abu Dojana who is considered to the RJD chief and his family was also searched.
