Gurgaon: Oyo Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal’s father Ramesh Agarwal died today after falling from 20th floor of a Gurugram high-rise building. In a statement, Ritesh Agarwal requested everyone to respect the family’s privacy in this time of grief.
Ramesh Agarwal fell from his 20th-floor flat in a posh society while his wife, son, and newlywed daughter-in-law were inside the flat.
“With a heavy heart, my family and I would like to share that our guiding light and strength, my father, Shri Ramesh Agarwal passed away on March 10. He lived a full life and inspired me and so many of us, every single day. His death is a tremendous loss for our family”, said Ritesh Agarwal.
The news comes days after Ritesh Agarwal tied the knot with Geetansha Sood, director of Formation Ventures Limited at Taj Hotel in Delhi on March 7, 2023. Softbank chief Masayoshi Son was among the corporate leaders who attended the wedding. Ritesh Agarwal is currently India’s youngest billionaire, founded OYO in 2013 when he was 19.
