RAIPUR: A couple was found dead in their homes just before their reception in CGs capital city Raipur an official said on Wednesday.
The couple said to have been married recently as per police reports had stab injuries on their bodies. It is speculated that an argument broke out between them and the man stabbed his wife to death before killing himself.
The incident is reported from Brijnagar under Tikarpara police station limits on Tuesday evening.
Deceased Aslam and Kahkhasha got married on Sunday and their wedding reception was scheduled for Tuesday evening. “The room was locked from inside and when the duo did not respond, the family members peeped through a window and found them lying unconscious in a pool of blood, following which they informed the police, said the father of the groom who claims his wife heard the screams of the bride.
The police immmediately swung into action on recieving the news. The bodies were sent for post mortem and the knife used has been recovered from the spot.
An investigation into the matter is underway. Further details of as to how the newly weds died in being probed. Relatives and parents of the duo are being questionned. A background check is also being carried out to find out about the duos social life.
