KORBA: In a tragic incident in CGs Korba district, a Tendu leaves-laden truck was charred to ashes, officials said.
As per sources, the truck was coming from Pendra toward Katghora. On recieving information about the fire, the police immediately swung into action. A fire brigade team along with rescue experts was also deployed on the spot to extinguish the fire.
Preliminary investigation revealed the tendu leaves caught fire through a spark from a 11 KV wire. It must be noted that the highway towards Katghora is a high tension passage that supplies power to the neighbouring villages.
As per sources in the know, a damage of approx Rs 1 lakh is being estimated.
