Hitting the theatres after several disputes, Pathaan has emerged as the first film in 33 years to record houseful shows in Kashmir. The cinema halls reopened in Kashmir last year after being shut for three decades due to threats and attacks by militants.

Meanwhile, the Producers Guild of India issued a statement to thank the state governments of India for ensuring the peaceful release of Pathaan across the country, especially after the series of controversies that the film faced ahead of its release.

“Tens of thousands of hardworking people make up the Hindi film industry and the larger content producing fraternity for television and streaming services. The industry generates employment, contributes to the country’s economy, and is among the most powerful and effective purveyors of India’s soft power across the world.

Besting boycott calls over the song “Besharam Rang”, “Pathaan” has performed phenomenally and has crossed Rs 313 in the overseas market and became the fastest film to reach this mark at the box office. It is expected that the film’s collection will rise over the first opening weekend and is expected to cross Rs 400 crore at the box office globally, beating Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2.

After the humungous success, Khan on Saturday hosted an Ask Me Anything session on Twitter, and this time, fans were curious to know his family’s reaction after watching Pathaan while some wanted to know his reaction to the success of Pathaan and the mania, that still continues. He kick-started the session with, “I am loving it that you are loving it. #AskSRK for a few minutes to share more of love if that’s possible….and keep the questions ZINDA!!! #Pathaan.”

A Twitter user asked, “Sir @iamsrk #PathaanMovie ke collection ko dekh kr kaisa Mehsoos Ho Raha Aapko? #AskSRK.”

The Badshah of Bollywood responded by saying, “Bhai numbers phone ke hote hain…hum toh khushi ginte hain…#Pathaan.”
