After a four-year romance, Athiya Shetty and her cricketer beau KL Rahul finally got hitched in an intimate ceremony at their farmhouse in Khandala. The couples exchanged wedding vows at 4pm in the presence of their respective family members and close friends.
The couple’s wedding festivity began from the weekend with Mehendi, Haldi and Sangeet celebrations ahead of the grand wedding today.
Post rituals, father and brother of the bride Suniel shetty and his son Ahan stepped out to distribute sweets to the paparazzi. While there, the actor gushed about becoming a new father-in-law and also set the record straight about the upcoming wedding reception.
If reports are to be believed, the couple will not be sailing away into the sunset, simply because they have to fulfil their work commitments. While Rahul is expected to join Team India on their next tournament, Athiya is reportedly set to launch her latest venture. KL, who skipped the series against Sri Lanka, is expected to join the team for their upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will begin on Feb 9, 2023.
Amongst the guests apart from Bollywood celebs like Anshula Kapoor, Athiya Shetty’ best friend Krishna Shroff, celebrity photographer Rohan Shrestha, Diana penty, Jackie Shroff to Akshay Kumar and Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor ; cricket family’ Ishan Sharma and Varun Aaron were also present.
