NEW DELHI: Swati Maliwal, DCW who was allegedly dragged and molested by a drunk car driver for 10-15 meters after her hand got stuck in his car on Saturday, reacted sharply to the allegations that the whole incident was cooked up.
Calling the allegation ‘Dirty lies’ Maliwal said- that she would fight until her last breath.
“Let me tell those who think that they will scare me by telling dirty lies about me. I have done many big things in this short life by tying a shroud on my head. I had many attacks but I did not stop. With every atrocity the fire inside me grew stronger. No one can suppress my voice. I will keep fighting as long as I am alive!” Maliwal tweeted in Hindi.
The tweet followed allegations levelled by BJP leaders as they raised questions about her claims highlighting that person she accused is an Aam Aadmi Party member and person she accused is an Aam Aadmi Party member. They also stated that the incident was conspired to put Delhi Police in a bad light.
The driver has been arrested and is identified as Harish Chandra, who suddenly pulled down the window when Maliwa l was reprimanding him for asking her to sit in the car. The incident took place on Thursday when she was on an inspection at night. A video of the incident went viral on the internet.
