BHOPAL: MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan pitched Indore as the next big IT destination in the country. At the opening session of the two-day Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit on Wednesday in Indore, CM Chauhan claimed that any desiring entrepreneur could avail land in the state within 24 hours.

“We have enough land for industries. Businesses can mark a location on a map, and we will allocate land within 24 hours… We built dams to capture water energy. Even the Delhi Metro runs on electricity generated by the Rewa solar power plant,”- Shivraj Singh Chauhan said. He further hailed the resources in the state claiming the industries would face no scarcity of water, electricity, and land.

At a meeting ahead of the summit, Accenture India Chairperson Rekha Menon described Madhya Pradesh’s IT policy as useful and friendly towards the IT industry. Accenture established a setup in Indore 6 months ago and now plans to expand its operations in the state.

Other top industrialists like Puneet Dalmia of Dalmia Bharat Group, Nadir Godrej of Godrej Industries,  Pranav Adani of Adani Agro Oil & Gas, Noel Tata of Tata International, Sanjeev Puri of ITC Group, and Nikhil R Meswani of Reliance Industries also attended the one-to-one meeting.

The 7th edition of ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh’ brought together stakeholders from India and abroad to discuss investment opportunities. The event was virtually inaugurated by PM Modi today morning.
