MANPUR, CHHATTISGARH: Central security forces in coalition with district police averted a major bomb blast in the Manpur area, an official said.
A joint team of Central Para Military forces ITBP and District Police from Parvidhi Police Camp launched the anti-Naxal operation in the Bookmarka mountain of Manpur area. According to sources, the police personnel discovered a 5kg bomb that was positioned on the roads of Katuljhora village with the intent to harm the security forces during their operation.
According to officials, on recovering the bomb, the security forces blew it out in their presence in order to avert a major accident. Residents in the neighboring village confirmed about the blast.
