SUKMA: Three reward-carrying Naxals surrendered before security personnel in the Sukma district said, police officials.

The three Maoists who surrendered were associated with the Naxal organization for more than 10 years said Sukam SP Sunil Sharma. The surrendered Naxals are identified as Madvi Budhra who carried a bounty of Rs 5 Lakh, Vetti Joga, and Maadi Joga carried a reward of Rs 3 lakh each.

The Naxals were said to have been irked by the discriminatory policies of the leaders and so decided to revert to normal life. They also added that they were impressed by the rehab policy of the government. Under this rehabilitation policy, the administration has decided to provide the Naxals Rs 10,000 as a reward and also provide them with basic facilities.

Meanwhile, the Naxals in Bijapur also released two road constriction contractors who were abducted on December 24th. It is worth mentioning that social activist Soni Sori along with the family of the abducted workers, released a video appealing to the Naxals to release the workers.
