Chhattisgarh: Since the time India entered Lockdown 4.0, Chhattisgarh has witnessed high surge in number of coronavirus cases and as the nation further eased on relaxation with the commencement of Unlock 1.0, Chhattisgarh has been badly impacted with recording over 50 cases on daily basis.
According to State Health report, A total of 18 new coronavirus cases reported in Chhattisgarh on Saturday as of 1 pm. Of the 18 cases, 14 are from Balodabazar, 3 from Korba while one case found in Surajpur district.
12 people have been recovered from the disease, stated health department.
State Health Department took to twitter to announce ” Just in 18 new Corona positive patients have been identified : 14 from District Balodabazar, 3 from Korba and 1 from Surajpur. Meanwhile 12 corona patients were discharged after recovery.”
Overall there are 23 districts which are affected by coronavirus in Chhattisgarh. Mungeli has the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 86 confirmed infections.
It has been reported that 3 people have died so far. Of the three, one of the patient was from Raipur, other was a woman from Bhilai and the third was a 19-year-old girl who hailed from Jagdalpur died of coronavirus in AIIMS, Raipur today morning.
Earlier, On Friday, Chhattisgarh reported 123 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This was the highest ever recorded from the state.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the state has crossed the 900 mark with 918 confirmed cases. As many as 3 people have died in the state due to Covid-19 infection.There are 666 active cases in the state while at least 249 people have been recovered from the infection.
