Corona Bulletin: Highest single day spike of 107 covid cases shoots Chhattisgarh’s tally to 880
Chhattisgarh: The novel coronavirus outbreak in Chhattisgarh is rapidly increasing with an average of 40 cases daily from past two weeks. On Friday, a total of 107 new cases of covid_19 has been reported which is the highest ever recorded from the state.
Of the 107 cases, 40 are reportedly found in Korba district, 16 are from Balodabazar, 14 from Bilaspur, 13 from Raigarh, 6 cases each are from Durg & Rajnandgaon, 4 cases each registered from Raipur & Balod, 2 cases registered from Kawardha, 1 each from Korea and Balrampur.
Today, 31 people have been cured, taking the total number of people recovered from the disease to 237.
According to the sources, the four patients who have tested positive for coronavirus today in Raipur are:
- A Girl from Kabir nagar, reportedly have travel history from Delhi
- District hospital nurse who resides in Lodhipara
- Head constable posted at Mandir Hasaud police station
- Laxman nagar resident, who recently came from Mumbai
With this, Raipur has recorded a total number of 30 cases in which 21 are undergoing treatment in AIIMS Raipur and 1 patient succumbed to the disease.
With these 107 cases found on Friday, the number of corona infected in the state has increased to 880. Out of which the number of active patients is 641. 237 people have recovered from the disease . Reportedly, as many as 2 people have died so far.
So far in Chhattisgarh, a total of 81773 probable persons of coronavirus symptom have been sampled in which 78134 results have been found negative and 2778 are under scrutiny.
