Punjab: In Punjab’s Mohali district, there was a stir after the roof of an under-construction building collapsed. Many laborers are feared to be trapped inside. The accident took place in Sector 126 of Kharar in the Mohali district. JCB has been brought to the spot and efforts are on to rescue the people. More information on this is still awaited.
In other news in Punjab, on the input of Military Intelligence (MI), Tibdi Cantt, Thana City Police arrested a woman who used to extort lakhs of rupees from youths by promising them to join the army or get them jobs. The police have arrested the woman Amanpreet Kaur who is a resident of Bal. She has been produced in court and sent to jail.
A case has been registered against the woman on the complaint of Pathankot resident Jaspreet Singh. In this, the complainant said that on the pretext of passing the medical examination and getting a job, the said woman was cheated of Rs 1.5 lakh. After this, the woman came under the clutches of the police through MI.
