MUMBAI: The Indian Rupee slipped by 2 paise amidst the softening of the crude oil price on Thursday. As per traders, the Rupee closed at 82.82 against a weak Dollar.

At the interbank forex market, the local unit opened weak at 82.77 against the greenback and witnessed an intra-day high of 82.76 and a low of 82.86. In the previous session, the domestic unit ended flat buoyed by the support from RBI after it dropped to one month low of 82.9225 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the drop in Crude oil prices is attributed to the rising COVID-19 cases in China.

Gold in the national capital today fell by Rs 21 to Rs 54,963 per 10 grams. The white metal also recorded a drop of Rs 464 to Rs 69,117 per Kg.

Indian Rupee has continued to hover between 82.80-82.90 over the past two weeks.
