Mumbai: The ‘love jihad’ angle has come to the fore in the death of television actress Tunisha Sharma. Tunisha’s uncle Pawan Sharma says that the police should investigate this case from the angle of love jihad. He requested to investigate the matter from every angle possible.
In an interview given to the media, Tunisha’s uncle Pawan Sharma said, “I think it is a case of 100 percent love jihad. I want the police to investigate this case in a special way. Not only this, the police should do a thorough investigation of this case separately. We do not know whether it is suicide or what. We do not even have any video recording of it.” He also claimed that Tunisha used to wear Hijab after meeting Sheezan.
Pawan Sharma also raised questions on the police administration and said, “How can the police administration without proper investigation claim that it is a case of suicide? First, the police should do a thorough investigation of this matter. After that, it should be called suicide or something. The police have not yet taken the statements of any person from our family.”
Tunisha committed suicide on the set of her show ‘Ali Baba: Dastan e Kabul’ on December 24. Her body was found in the makeup room. Her ex-boyfriend and co-actor Sheezan Khan was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide by her mother. The police are constantly questioning him in this matter. His police custody is extended by 2 days by Vasai court today. Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut has also shared her thoughts on the case and requested action on the same.
