RAIGARH: A 21-year-old student who is also said to be a social media influencer in Chhattisgarh was found hanging in her house on Monday, said CG police on Tuesday handing over the body to the family after postmortem.
Primary investigation revealed the mother had gone to the market and returned within half an hour to see her Leena Nagvanshi hanging from the terrace with the help of a dupatta.
Leena Nagwanshi died by suicide by hanging herself in her house. The body has been sent for post-mortem,” said Ingeshwar Yadav, Sub-Inspector, Chakradhar Nagar police station.
Leena, a resident of Kelo Vihar Colony, Raigarh district, is a second-year B.com student who had more than 10 followers on Instagram. With her short videos and reels, she was quite active and popular on social media. On the occasion of Christmas, her social media feed indicated she uploaded a reel on Instagram. Leena , is the youngest child of HR Nagavanshi, senior cooperative inspector of Ambikapur.
The police have confiscated the mobile phone of the deceased and have launched a probe registering a case. It is also learned that no suicide note was found from the spot.
