BHOPAL: In a befitting reply to the no-confidence motion passed by Congress on Wednesday, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan alleged that during the leadership of Kamal Nath massive transfers of IPS officers and state govt employees took place that indicated the trust the party in power had earned.

He added that the Kamal Nath govt had cheated the tribes of the Baiga, Sahariya, Bharia, and other tribal communities. According to Chauhan the beneficiaries of the tribal societies never received their benefits under the tribal compensation schemes. He further laid down the stats of the schemes that were provided by the centre which clearly indicated discrepancies.

On Wednesday, the opposition Congress moved a no-confidence motion against the Shivraj Singh-led govt in the MP state Assembly targeting it over issues like law and order, unemployment, inflation, corruption, ‘discrimination’ against the opposition legislators, atrocities against women and tribals, farmers’ problems and other issues. The debate lasted for 12 hours on Wednesday beginning at 12:20 pm. Speaker Girish Gautam then adjourned the House till 11 am on Thursday.

Heated arguments were seen between the ruling and opposition benches. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) MLAs rejected the charges, claiming the opposition has failed to come up with any concrete issues.
