NARAYANPUR: The Naxals in the Narayanpur district of CG triggered an IED blast and started firing at security forces who were on an operation.
No casualties have been reported so far in the incident that took place at 8 am on Sunday morning said an official. As per reports a joint team of DRG and Chhattisgarh Armed Forces were on domination towards village Gudari when the blast IED occurred.
Shortly after triggering the blast, the Naxals fired at the security forces hiding in the bushes. Following this crossfire increased and the Naxals fled the spot.
During the search operation, the security forces recovered wires and pieces of pressure cooker used to trigger the blast in the area. A reinforcement team has been dispatched to search the area.
