Dhaka, Bangladesh: India lost to Bangladesh by five runs in the second ODI of the series. Batting first after winning the toss in the match played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh scored 271 runs losing seven wickets in 50 overs. Mehdi Hasan Miraj played an unbeaten inning of 100 runs in 83 balls. Apart from this, Mahmudullah scored 77 runs. In response, the Indian team could score 266 runs in 50 overs losing nine wickets. 

Rohit Sharma was injured at the beginning of this match. His left thumb suffered a serious injury while fielding. After this Rohit was also taken to the hospital. He returned to the stadium, but his left thumb was bandaged. In such a situation, he did not come down for fielding. But Rohit came out to bat at number nine and almost turned the match from there. Even after the injured finger, Rohit scored an unbeaten 51 in 28 balls with the help of three fours and five sixes. India needed 20 runs in the last over. Mustafizur Rahman was bowling the last over while Rohit was on strike. 

No run was scored on the first ball. Rohit hit two consecutive fours on the second and third balls. After this, no run was scored on the fourth ball. India needed 12 runs off the last two balls to win. Rohit hit a six on the fifth ball. Mustafizur bowled a yorker ball on the last ball and no run was scored. This is how Bangladesh won. The turning point of the match was in the 48th over, in which Mohammad Siraj was on strike and Rahman took this over maiden. No runs being scored in this over proved to be a game-changer for India. With this win, Bangladesh leads the series by 2-0.
