Mumbai: Acclaimed director Anurag Basu and producer Bhushan Kumar will be collaborating for the anthology film ‘Metro In Dino’. The director announced this on Wednesday. The film revolves around Basu’s 2007 hit film ‘Life in a metro’ and has a fresh storyline and a new cast as well. The film will feature actors like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma (who was part of Life in a Metro as well), Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

The film ‘Metro In Dino’ is directed by Anurag Basu in association with Gulshan Kumar and T-Series. Its music will be given by Pritam who also was the music director of the previous film. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Tani Basu. ‘Metro In Dino’ is a bitter-sweet tale of human relationships set in today’s times.

Regarding the film, Director Anurag Basu said, “The film ‘Metro In Dinon’ is a story of the people and for the people. I’ve been working on this for a long time. I am happy to work again with a ‘power house’ like Bhushan Kumar. He has always been a pillar for me. The story of the film is very fresh and relevant as I am working with a good cast. I am very happy to collaborate with my dear friend Pritam. They add life to the story and its characters with their work.”

T-Series Chairman and Managing Director Bhushan Kumar also expressed his happiness about this association. “Working with Anurag Dada has always been a treat. Weaving a parallel story with a contemporary twist in the film, no one does it better than Dada. We are quite excited to join hands with him for Metro In Dinon”, Bhushan Kumar said.

This is not officially a sequel to the first installment of the movie but it is assumed to be so as the title has been taken part from the movie and part from the song ‘In Dino’ which is still a popular number among music enthusiasts. Also, the fresh pairing of Sara Ali Khan, who was last seen in R. Balki’s ‘Atrangi Re’, and Aditya Roy Kapur who was last seen in ‘Rashtra Kavach:OM’ will excite the audience in the upcoming movie.
