KONDAGAON: For decades wells have been used to collect potable water which is commonly underground water that is used by people for basic necessities. However, that was not the case in Mathura, a village in the Kondagaon district in CG. A well in this village has been making headlines after villagers are taken by surprise to see boiling hot water in the well.

A video has been made rounds on social media, in which a local is seen pulling out water in a bucket that is boiling. Preliminary investigation revealed the well for 6 months had hot water after a flash of lightning struck in its vicinity according to locals. Experts on the contrary state the temperature of the water could have changed due to the presence of sulfur rocks beneath.
