Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt named their little princess on Thursday evening. The name goes Raha Kapoor- as selected by Dadi Neetu Kapoor.
New mommy Alia Bhatt took to her social media handle to share a family photo. In it, she can be seen out of focus along with her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor as they cradle their daughter. In the backdrop, a jersey with “Raha” printed on it can be seen. Alia captioned the post, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path/ in Swahili she is Joy/ In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan/ In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief/ in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”
Ever since the news has become official, celeb friends of the couple have been showering immense love. Alia Bhatt’s close friend Ranveer Singh, RK’s sister Kareena and Zoya Akhtar were among those who poured out their heart for the little one.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in a private ceremony on April 14. The couple welcomed their first child on November 6. Alia shared the news of her daughter’s arrival through an Instagram post.
