Indore, Madhya Pradesh: In a horrific accident in MP’s Indore, a minor boy has been crushed to death by a truck while he was riding a bike along with his younger brother. A sheer case of negligence on the part of the boy’s family is taken into consideration for allowing such a minor boy to ride a bike, that too with his younger brother. Soon after the accident, both of them were taken to a nearby hospital where the 13-year-old was declared dead while the younger one survived with major injuries. The incident occurred in Indore’s Bhanwarkuan police station area.
The police have established a path of the accident and have identified the victims. According to Bhanwarkuan TI Shashikant Shukla, the deceased child’s name is Kartik Chauhan, son of Shyam Chauhan. He was a resident of Aman Nagar Musakhedi. The incident took place on Nemawar Road at around 3:30 pm on Thursday. The family members had taken the child to MY Hospital. Shyam sells fruits and vegetables. The relatives are not in a position to give a statement after the incident. The police are probing the matter by establishing a case.
The police commissioner has also expressed seriousness regarding road accidents. In the review meeting of crimes on Friday, he asked the Additional DCP to personally go and investigate five black spots in their respective areas. According to Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra, many youths are dying in accidents as they are given access to ride a bike at an early age. Some accidents can be avoided with vigilance. A detailed report from the Additional DCP of the four zones has been sought by the commissioner. He has been told that he himself should go and see five black spots in the area and tell what is the reason for the accidents.
