Earlier this year, Lovlina had complained about mental harassment by the authorities but she has come out of the trauma and has paved the way for several other young women boxers who aspire to play for the country.

While the women have done outstandingly well in the ongoing Asian Boxing Championship, the men are also not far behind. Boxers Sumit and Narender have ensured two medals for the country at the semis of the championship. The finals for the men’s category will be held in Amman tomorrow.
