New Delhi: Former Deputy Prime Minister and the Co-founder of the ruling party BJP, LK Advani turned 95 today. The senior BJP leader was born in Karachi (now in Pakistan) on Nov 8, 1927. Apart from being the Co-founder of BJP, he also served as the Minister of Home Affairs from the year 1998 to 2004 under National Democratic Alliance led by BJP. He served as Deputy PM under Atal Bihari Vajpayee from the year 2002 to 2004. 

On the occasion of his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited him at his residence and wished him good health. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also visited the veteran BJP leader at his home to wish him good health and prosperity on his 95th birthday. He tweeted about the same and wrote, “Visited respected Advaniji’s residence and wished him a happy birthday. I pray to God for his good health and long life.”

Wishes galored from other eminent BJP leaders as well. External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, who is currently in Moscow on his 2-day visit to Russia also took to his social media to wish LK Advani. He wrote, “Warm birthday greetings to revered Shri LK Advani ji. His many contributions and services to the nation will always keep inspiring us.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted about Advani’s contribution to the country as a prominent leader and also wished him on his special day. His tweet read, “Wishing a very happy birthday to respected LK Advani ji. Advani ji, on one hand, strengthened the organization across the country with his continuous hard work, while on the other hand made an invaluable contribution to the development of the country while being in the government. I pray to God for his good health and long life.”

Not to miss, LK Advani was awarded India’s 2nd highest civilian award Padma Vibhusan back in 2015 for his contribution to the country as a prominent political leader.
