Chhattisgarh: With 5 more people, mostly migrant workers, testing positive for coronavirus in Chhattisgarh on Friday noon, the tally in the state rose to 404, a health official said.
Of the new cases, 2 were reported from Bilaspur district, 1 each from Durg, Jagdalpur and Mahasamundra, Health department stated. Earlier on Thursday night, One case was recorded from Mungeli district.
At present, the state has 321 COVID-19 active cases as 83 patients have already recovered and discharged from hospitals.
Heath Department took to twitter to announce ” Today 5 new corona positive patients were identified, 2 from district Bilaspur and 1-1 from Jagdalpur, Mahasamund and Durg, 1 corona patient was identified from Mungeli district last night. The total number of active patients in the state was 321.”
Currently, 2,03,581 people are in 19,216 quarantine centres in the state, while 49,614 people are in home isolation as a precautionary measure.
So far in Chhattisgarh, a total of 61,771 suspected of coronavirus symptom have been sampled in which 59,585 results have been found negative and 1788 are under scrutiny.
