Raipur: The churning of 2023 budget has started in Chhattisgarh as all departments have called for budget proposals. Sources reveal that the budget to be presented by Chief Minister Baghel in the next financial year would be the biggest budget in the history of the state.
The departments have focused on new schemes related to the public with the expectation of witnessing best of the government’s work. According to the budget schedule, the government departments and assembly secretariat have submitted their budget proposals to finance departments. The proposal also proposes changes in salaries and allowances of MLAs and establishment expenses.
Earlier on Friday, the heads of departments discussed the budget proposals of their respective departments. Budget estimates of revenue receipts and recovery and proposals for additional total revenue receipts have been sent separately. The new budget proposals will be discussed with the department officials from November 15 to December 5.
