Katrina Kaif starrer Phone Bhoot- opened to a lull at the Box office on Friday. The horror comedy helmed by Gurmeet Singh barely minted Rs 2.05 crore on the opening day as per sources that highlighted that the collections picked up in the evening but not so much as to turn the tables for the film.

After being released across the quarters, Phone Bhoot comes out as a clean family entertainer with a new game that has roped in demographics majorly amongst youth and kids.

According to Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh- “Phone Bhoot records low numbers on day 1… Business did pick up towards evening shows, but not enough to record a healthy total… All eyes on day 2 and 3… Friday ₹2.05 crore India business,” he tweeted.

The plot revolves around a ghost, played by Katrina Kaif, who reaches out to two bumbling ghostbusters, played by Siddhant and Ishaan, for a business idea. However, their plans go downhill as the eerie ghost reveals her plan.

On the other hand, Mili and Double XL did not even touch 1 crore. While Janhvi Kapoor’s film opened to around Rs 35-40 lakh net, Double XL was even worse with Rs 12-15 lakh net. Overall it was a rather dull Friday at the box office.
