DAMOH, MADHYA PRADESH: Three members of a Dalit family were killed in a clash that took place between two groups in Damoh on Tuesday. Those attacked include a father, mother, and elder brother of the Ahirwar family.

As per the statement given by the youngest Mahesh Ahirwar, around 25 people entered their home forcefully and attacked them. The accused have been identified as members of the Patel community. They carried guns and sharp weapons and targeted the parents of the boy.

Mahesh, who is hospitalized sustained critical injuries, an official in the case said. A police team and forensic team has been deployed at their residence. Other two are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

A man hunt is launched for the absconding accused, the police officers said. A case has been registered against the six accused on murder charges and other sections of IPC as well as provisions of the SC and ST Act.
