New Delhi: A day after Senior AAP leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia took a dig at the USD-5 trillion economy target of the BJP government at the Centre, the CBI issued fresh summons to him in connection to the excise policy case. As per the summon he is directed to arrive at the CBI office on Monday at 12 noon.

Sisodia in a tweet targeting BJP after the Global Health Index was revealed said, “The BJP people give speeches of making India 5 trillion economy but we are at 107th place in the Hunger Index….106 countries including even Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh are better than us in providing two square meal”.

Two weeks ago the central probe agency had arrested Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s aide and Communications Chief of Aam Aadmi Party, Vijay Nair in connection with Delhi excise policy scam. He was detained after questioning at CBI Headquarters in New Delhi.

Vijay Nair is one of 15 persons, including Mr Sisodia, named in the FIR. He was arrested for his alleged role in cartelization and conspiracy in the allocation of liquor licenses. The CBI has alleged that bribes from a liquor firm owner were collected through Vijay Nair. The CBI has described him as the former CEO of Only Much Louder, an entertainment and event management company based in Mumbai.
