Bhopal: The second largest state of India, Madhya Pradesh is all set to celebrate its 67th foundation day on November 1. Besides MP, five other states; Chhattisgarh, Karnataka Kerela, Punjab, and Haryana also celebrate their foundation day on November 1.

Called ‘heart of India’, MP was founded on November 1, 1956 with Shri Ravi Shankar being the first chief minister of the state. MP was recognized on November 1, 2000, to create a new Chhattisgarh state. With an area of three lakh eight thousand square kilometers, the state boasts rich heritage, and culture, and is one of the popular tourist destinations of our country.

Preparations to celebrate the foundation day have started as Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will take a meeting to check the same. The meeting is scheduled to begin at his residence at 11:30 AM. The meeting will also review the preparations for the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shahon October 16. Officials of Bhopal and Gwalior will connect with the CM on video call.

CM Chouhan will also preside over the 23rd meeting of Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Board today evening at 5PM to give approvals to build a new sanctuary at Balaghat Sagar.
