Saifai: The body of Samajwadi party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav arrived at his native Saifai village on Monday evening, hours after the leader died in a Gurugram hospital. the body has been kept at Saifai Numaish Ground for darshan and the cremation took place in the afternoon with full state honors.
Soon after, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Jal Shakti Minister Swatnantra dev Singh and BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary arrived to pay their tributes and extend condolences to Akhilesh Yadav. Defense minister Rajnath Singh, Speaker of Lok Sabha; Om Birla, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and Bihar CM Nitesh Kumar are expected to arrive at the funeral.
The three times chief minister was elected MLA 10 times and MP 7 seven times. More than one lakh people are expected to pay their respects to the leader. UP government has declared 3-day state mourning.
