Khurja: After cattle and cow hit Vande Bharat Express train, it now suffered a failure due to a bearing defect in the Traction Motor of C8 coach between the Dankaur and Wair stations of North Central Railway. This is the third day in a row that the Vande Bharat train has been in the news.
The train was taken out of operation after it suffered a flat tyre. A ‘flat tyre’ in railway terminology refers to the damage to perfect roundness of the wheel. Moreover, the train suffered a snag in a traction motor that jammed its wheel.
“Varanasi Vande Bharat rake (Train no.22436) has suffered a failure due to a bearing defect in the Traction Motor of C8 coach between the Dankaur and Wair stations of North Central Railway. The bearing jam was rectified with the assistance of NCR team”, said officials from Indian Railways.
Sources reveal that the semi-high speed train left New Delhi Railway Station at its scheduled time of 6 PM but had to be withdrawn just after travelling 90 km at Khurja station in Uttar Pradesh.
