Raipur: The union Cabinet in Chhattisgarh has approved the bill to include 12 castes of the state in the Scheduled Tribes. Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has issued a video describing the initiative of the Modi Government at the Center and Chhattisgarh BJP.
“Today is historic and proud day! Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi Ji has given a big gift by deciding to include 12 caste communities of Chhattisgarh in the Scheduled Tribes”, tweeted the ex-chief minister.
“Due to our tireless efforts, the people of the society came to Dharamjaygarh today to express their gratitude on receiving the news of the approval of the Union Cabinet to include 12 castes of Chhattisgarh in the Scheduled Tribes”, tweeted CM Baghel.
While on one hand, the decision has began the politics of credit between BJP and Congress, it is also expected to dawn the lives of 20 lakh people in the state. Earlier, Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda had written about the suffering of tribals but the letter was removed from Union Cabinet.
