New Delhi: India recorded 5,076 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.71 per cent accounted for 5,970 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,39,19,264.
The daily positivity rate stood at 1.58 per cent. The number of active cases stood at 47,945 accounting for 0.11 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop by 905 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.19 per cent recorded 11 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,28,150.
With the administration of 17,81,723 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 214.95 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Under the 12+ vaccination ln program more than 4.06 Cr (4,06,23,700) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. 94.50 crore beneficiaries have been jabbed with the second dose and 18.07 cr beneficiaries have been administered the precautionary dose.
In the last 24 hours, ICMR tested 3,20,784 infected samples. So far, 88.94 crore tests have been conducted.
