Dantewada: 2 reward carrying naxals surrendered in Naxal dominated Dantewada district police officials said on Saturday. The Naxals have reportedly taken the decision to surrender under Lon Varattu, officials added.
SP Siddhant Tiwari in a media interaction revealed the surrendered naxals were involved in crimes like IED blasts, thefts and murders. He added that the surrendered naxals will be given benefits under the govt schemes.
So far, 552 Maoists, including 137 rewarded Naxalites, have joined the frontline of the society
