New Delhi: India recorded 7,231 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.67 per cent accounted for 10,828 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,38,35,852. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.05 per cent.
The number of active cases stood at 64,667 accounting for 0.15 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop of 1,065 in the last 24 hours. However, the mortality rate stood at 1.19 per cent recorded 45 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,27,874.
With the administration of 22,50,854 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 212.39 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. So far, more than 4.03 Cr (4,03,22,642) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine under the 12 + vaccination program. Overall, 15,86,27,587 precautionary doses have been administered so far.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 3,52,166 COVID-19 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 88.58 Cr (88,58,81,136) cumulative tests.
