Hyderabad: Hours after he released a new video about ‘communal atmosphere’, BJP MLA T Raja Singh was arrested again today. He was released on bail , Tuesday after he had issued derogatory speech on prophet Mohammed.
The Hyderabad Police said records disclose that out of 101 criminal cases registered against him, he was involved in 18 communal offenses.
In the recent video, he said that Telangana police are puppets in the hands of Asaduddin Owaisi. He stated that supporters of Owaisi -have been given a free hand to throw stones .. no FIR, no arrest. he accused them of targeting worship places.
He blamed Municipal Development Minister KT Rama Rao (‘KTR’) — son of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (‘KCR’) — and Home Minister Mehmood Ali for “why Telangana has a vitiated atmosphere today”. He said KTR is “an atheist who believes in no religion”, whose party Telangana Rashtra Samiti “plays the game of Muslim vote-bank” along with AIMIM’s Owaisi.
Singh was arrested under the Preventive Detention Act 1986 and was taken to Gandhi hospital for medical check up. The FIR was registered against him at Dabeerpura PS under sections 153a, 295 and 505 of IPC. He is currently lodged at Cherlapally jail.
