Janjgir-Champa: Search operations for boy who is suspected to have slipped into reservoir of the Bango Dam in Janjgir-Champa district are under way.
An NDRF team from Bilaspur is engaged after the local rescue team failed to find the boy.
A 24 year old boy employed as a delivery agent at a shop in Janjgir-Champa district after delivering the parcel in Katghora allegedly went to the dam. A by the view Amit Kumar, a resident of Bamhindih is said to have attempted to take pictures and slipped off the edge. Preliminary investigation reveal officials on guard warned the boy against imbalance and asked him to leave. But the determined youth attempted to take a selfie at gate number 4 and dived in.
Acting swiftly, the guards on duty informed Bango police station in-charge Ashish Singh who reached the spot with police forces and rescue team from Korba.
