Bhopal: Mirchi Baba once claimed to have political leaders, bureaucrats and thousands as his followers is currently spending time with inmates in the Bhopal Central Jail. Sources reveal that since his arrival in the jail no political leader or bureaucrat, or follower has visited him.
Videos of the Vairagyanand Giri, AKA Mirchi baba went viral on social media where he is seen enduring the prison rules. He was shifted to Bhopal central jail on August 8th after he was accused of raping a devotee by giving her ‘bhabhuti’.
A joint team of the Bhopal crime branch and Gwalior police arrested him on August 8th for allegedly drugging and raping a woman who had approached him for help. He was sent to remand on orders of a court until August 22. The arrest was sought based on the complaint by the 30-year-old lady who had approached baba seeking a solution for a child as she was childless since she married.
